NOTHING ELSE IN MYKONOS EVEN COMES CLOSE to postcard-perfect Kivotos. I’m 54 yrs old, I visit Mýkonos every year since 24, have visited most resorts, and ever since first staying here 3 years ago, I now cannot stay *anywhere* else in Mykonos; hooked. Staff: “your wish is my command” vibe, but chic and relaxed not uppity. Christina Paganou is a reason alone to stay here: a genie, she, who abracadabras visitors’ every whim for all Mykonian must-live checklists. Rooms: stunning, true suites, not suites wanna-be. Architectural Digest cover-worthy interior design/architecture. Illy coffee in rooms, Bulgari toiletries, best balcony views in the island 24/7. Dreamy pool, good food, water taxi transfers to the island’s other chi-chi spots, if you can wean yourself away from Kivotos: I cannot :-). This year alone I’ve stayed here twice thus far and I never made it into Mýkonos town: Kivotos can also be a sanctuary unto itself, for those of us who sometimes crave to be emptied. Book a massage with Joy. Order the homemade pappardelle poolside.
